I’m a Northwest native who grew up surrounded by family, books, alpine peaks and lots of green. I really loved it. I never thought I’d leave. And then, I did. I landed in a lot of concrete in a city that shapes the world’s culture.

Now, I’m figuring out a life that I long to have marked by gratitude and grace, good food and conversation, beauty, art and homeschooling all squeezed into a Manhattan apartment. I write about living with intention in the midst of a city that makes my heart beat just a little bit faster every time I walk outside.

Hope With Feathers chronicles my own journey as I feather my nest in this place.

Its about hope in my own heart that sings and changes me as I choose to place my affections on my city and on the people here. Its about what happens to a family when they choose to go further in to a complicated place and seek to love it with all they do… when all they’ve known before is how to go further out for their own benefit in suburbia.

I’d love for you to join our adventure.

A picture where we are all looking at the camera and no one is even trying to pick their nose! Success
